Refund & Returns Policy

Overview

At Rare Roots, customer satisfaction is important to us. Due to the nature of live plants and gardening products, our return and refund policy differs from standard retail products.

We accept return requests within 3 days of delivery for eligible non-living products. Requests made after 3 days of receiving the order may not qualify for a refund or exchange.


Eligible Returns

To be eligible for a return:

  • The item must be unused and in its original condition.
  • The item must be returned in its original packaging.
  • Proof of purchase or order confirmation must be provided.

Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned:

  • Live plants, cacti, succulents, and terrariums
  • Customized or made-to-order products
  • Gift cards
  • Clearance or sale items
  • Products damaged due to improper care after delivery

Because plants are living products, slight variations in size, color, or appearance are considered normal and are not grounds for a return.


Damaged or Incorrect Orders

If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, please contact us within 24 hours of delivery.

To process your request, please send:

  • Your order number
  • Clear photos of the product
  • Photos of the packaging

Requests submitted after 24 hours may not qualify for replacement or refund.


Refunds

Once your request is reviewed and approved, your refund will be processed within 5–10 business days.

Refunds will be issued through the original payment method whenever possible.

If your order was paid through bank transfer, the refund will be sent to the bank account provided by the customer.


Late or Missing Refunds

If you have not received your refund:

  1. Check your bank account again.
  2. Contact your bank or payment provider.
  3. If the issue persists, contact our support team.

Exchanges

We only replace products that arrive damaged, defective, or incorrect.

Exchange requests must be submitted within 24 hours of delivery.


Order Cancellation

Orders can be cancelled before shipment.

Once an order has been packed or shipped, cancellation may not be possible.

Confirmed and shipped orders cannot be cancelled.


Shipping Returns

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is caused by our error.

Original shipping charges are non-refundable.

We recommend using a trackable shipping service when returning products.
